LETTER: Lightbulb moment over street lights

I read with interest your article “Street Lights need time to adjust clocks” (The Voice, October 25) and the ridiculous comment made by Coun. Richard Davis, Lincolnshire County Council’s Executive Member for Highways.

He says: “The street lights have sensors that monitor the number of daylight hours, which is how they set their internal clock.”

My low energy “dawn till dusk” outside lights do exactly that – come on when it gets dark and go off when it gets light without the aid of any clocks, timers and dysfunctional computers – simple!!!!!
