Maestro Kilby on winning form again at Tydd Gote Angling Club meet

The latest Tydd Gote Angling Club Sunday club match saw nine anglers share an impressive 80lb of roach from the Main Road stretch as the milder weather brought the fish to the feed.

Maestro Andrew Kilby was on unfancied peg five – but he needn’t have worried, as he was into fish from the off and kept them coming all through the match to his pinkie and groundbait to record an impressive 29lb 8oz of mainly roach.

Second was Grzegorz Chalet with another fine net of roach for 17lb 8oz, with Dave Simmonds in third – also catching all day on pinkie for 13lb 13oz, a personal best match bag of roach.

Steve Borrett had to wait almost two hours for his first bite, but ended up with 9lb 7oz of for fourth.

Result: Wednesday Open (Main Road) – 1st John Taylor 22lb 4oz; 2nd Sammy McSpadden 11lb 4oz; 3rd Archie Greenwood 7lb 6oz.
