The principle of University Academy Holbeach has praised his school’s pupils and listed a host of subjects that have this year seen improvement.
Stood on the first floor stairwell and proudly overlooking the pupils opening their results, principle Steve Baragwanath said: “I’m very proud and very pleased with all the kids.
“We’ve got some 8s and 9s, I’m pleased with the kids and pleased with the results.
“We’ve seen improvement in English and Food Technology. Triple Science has improved and English Language and Literature have got better.
“The kids have worked hard to get the grades they deserved.”
One pupil who was delighted with his results was Ben Whiting (pictured at top of article), who got the grades he needed to go on to study Computer Science.
Ben’s mother, Jean Whiting, said: “Computer Science is his passion and he’s going on to do it at sixth form at Spalding Grammar School.
“UAH has done a fantastic job. They’ve been superb and excelled his results.”
Another pupil who excelled was Louise Nichols, who was the only pupil in the school to achieve a 9 grade in maths.
Louise said she’ll not pursue her talent for maths, as she is going to study Graphic Design at Boston College in September.
Pupil Sam Elms (pictured, below right) said he was “very happy” with his results and will go on to study BTEC Business Studies with a view to taking on an apprenticeship once that’s completed.
