Break-in at Moulton Post Office

Police are investigating a burglary in Moulton in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).

Police responded to a report of a break-in at the Post Office in Moulton, just after 12.20am.  The burglars stole a quantity of cigarettes before driving off in what is believed to be a silver coloured saloon car.

Community Policing Inspector Jim Tyner said: “This is the first offence of this type in South Holland since April 2. Part of our enquiries will include establishing if there is a link with similar burglaries in other force areas.”

The shop is currently closed while forensic examinations take place.
