A whole lotta litter in trailer

A parish council has fought back against fly-tippers by carting around a trailer and getting hands-on with the dumped rubbish.

A recent litter-pick by members of Weston Parish Council filled a trailer with bags of rubbish and three car seats that had been fly-tipped and set on fire.

Local member of South Holland District Council, Coun Anthony Casson, who also took part in the litter-pick, said: “I can’t understand the mentality of people who put stuff in their cars, only to dump it, when it’s just as easy to take it to the excellent facilities we have at West Marsh Road.”
