Power tools stolen during spree of vehicle break-ins in Spalding, Pinchbeck and Long Sutton

Valuable power tools left in work vehicles have been targeted by thieves in a spree of break-ins.

Vans in Spalding, Pinchbeck and Long Sutton have been broken into over the past few days. Police are urging people not to leave tools in vehicles overnight.

The incidents include:

  • power tools stolen from a Fiat Scudo in Little London, Long Sutton, overnight on Tuesday, June 10
  •  two cordless drills stolen from a Citroen Berlingo in Bourne Road, Spalding, overnight on Friday, June 6
  • two DeWalt and two Makita drills stolen from a Peugeuot Expert van in Rotten Row, Pinchbeck, overnight on Friday, June 6
  • power tools taken a Citroen van and Peugeot van in Hannam Boulevard, Spalding, sometime over the weekend on June 7 and 8
  • cordless drill, circular saw, DeWalt hammer drill and Bosch SDS hammer drill stolen from a Fiat Ducato broken into in West Parade, Spalding, over the weekend of June 7 and 8

Community Policing Inspector Jim Tyner said: “In every case the vehicles were forced and valuable work tools were stolen. I would urge people to remove valuable tools overnight.”
