Community supports hospital fair

VNG070614-20smallSupporters came out in force to show their appreciation for Spalding’s Johnson Community Hospital at a summer fair.

The event was organised by the Friends of the hospital, which marked its 60th anniversary with one of its most successful summer fairs – raising more than £1,000.

Attractions during the day included a memory table looking back at the hospital’s past, singing from Pinchbeck School junior choir, stalls, games and performances by a brass band.

Friends honorary treasurer Elizabeth Britten said: “It was very successful and such a lovely happy atmosphere.

“What came across was that the hospital is truly valued by the people of Spalding. It was a wonderfully friendly, social event which was also financially successful.”
