Man and woman found dead in Holbeach property – updated

Police are still on the scene this morning after two bodies were found in a property in Holbeach yesterday afternoon.

The bodies were found around 12pm on Thursday, December 21, in a home in Willder’s Garth.

Police this morning confirmed a man and a woman were found and the deaths are still “unexplained”.

Neighbours said police cars, a first response vehicle and two ambulance vehicles were called to one of the properties on a square made up of bungalows designed for the elderly.

One neighbour who wished to remain anonymous said: “It’s very very quiet normally around here. There was a lot of police.

“One of the other neighbours had told us that an older gentleman had passed away so I’m very surprised to hear there’s two bodies been found.”

A statement from Lincolnshire Police said: “Shortly after midday on Thursday 21st December, we received a report that two people had been found deceased at a property in Willder’s Garth in Holbeach.

“At this time the deaths are being treated as unexplained and an investigation is underway.

“Anyone with information they feel may be relevant to the enquiry is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 168 of 21st December.

“Further details will be released in due course.”
