LETTER: No action on speeding

In response to Tony Bown’s comments on speeding motorists (Voice Letters, August 10), NOTHING will ever happen. I have lived in two different villages, both on 30mph roads which traffic used to speed past my house at around 50-60mph.

I spoke to South Holland Council about the possibility of speed bumps/speed cameras and was told that there had to have been three fatalities before either of those options were considered.

I am always baffled as to why there are not more speed cameras or even traffic wardens in the area. Holbeach town, just outside TSB, always has cars parked with the drivers leisurely swanning into either the bank, bookies or Polish shop.

Total disregard for other motorists who are bottlenecked behind the parked car. I have seen a traffic warden (twice) but in an area way off the town, why not where the problem is?
