Fabric Fae set to open its doors in Holbeach

A new venture in Holbeach is set to open its doors at the weekend.

A group of three people have joined forces to launch a new fabric shop.
The business will also go on to offer sewing machine repairs for customers and the partnership behind Fabric Fae is looking forward to opening the doors.
“This is our first venture, but we believe that there is a call for this type of shop,” said Yvonne Smith.
The trio will be operating from premises on Park Road from August 19.
The name, fae, comes from an old English word for fairy.
“At the moment people have to travel to get fabric. They need to go to Wisbech, so need to have transport. We are passionate about our products and hope to grow and serve the community for many years to come,” said Yvonne.
She will be joined by her husband Gary who will be fixing the sewing machines and Carol Williams, who has many years experience in the fabric trade.
“We believe Holbeach is a good place to open boutique-type shops which complement each other,” said Yvonne, who moved to the area earlier this year.
“We think our service is needed in the area and look forward to meeting customers,” she said.
A former London Underground worker, Yvonne said she has made curtains for more than 25 years and looks forward to sharing her love of fabrics and needlework.
