A 182-run partnership for the first wicket helped Pinchbeck score a club record 265-4 in their derby win over Spalding Town 3rd on Saturday.
Openers Danny Jackson (96) and Nick Crook (retired out on 101) starred at Spalding Grammar School, with Michael Handford (22) and Gary Neumann (17 not) also contributing at the death.
Chris Klompas (42), Nigel Gardner (41) and Carl Lamming (23) performed valiantly with the bat as Town gave it a good go in reply.
But they couldn’t keep up with the run rate and closed on 182-8, with James Langford (3-33) and Jamie Frost (2-29) the top Pinchbeck bowlers.
The win propels Pinchbeck up to third in the table, while Town 3rd are just behind them in fourth place.

Openers Ben Hudson (24) and James Tickler (45) looked like they were setting the stage for a big Baston innings at The Shrine.
But once both perished, no other home player made double figures thanks to sensational Sutton bowling.
Led by pace ace Barray Stanway (4-41) and spin wizard Rob Simpson (4-18), Baston were knocked over for 125 in 45 overs.
Sutton’s reply was similar, with two of the top order firing. Adam Wright (28) and Dan Oldfield (58) made key contributions, but it was Rav Sangha’s seven not out that steered them to 127-8 in the 39th over.
The win earned Sutton 20 points and extends their flying start to the season to five wins on the spin.

The away side made 185-9 batting first at Paradise Field, with Andy Shaw (5-35) starring with the ball for the hosts.
However, only Tommy Sayer (25) and Jacob Synott (14) made scores of note in the reply as Sutton slumped to 86 all out in 24.2 overs.
