Spalding firefighters blaze a fundraising trail at Sainsbury’s

Spalding firefighters have thanked the public and Sainsbury’s staff for their support of a fundraiser in the Holland Market store.

Crews collected for The Fire Fighters’ Charity and Newlife The Charity for Disabled Children, in support of their colleagues Clive Baillie and Kyle Campbell, who will be completing the Three Peaks Challenge and cycling in between.

There were two static bikes and a fire safety display, with Blaze Bear handing out sweets and stickers to children.

A spokesperson for the Spalding station said: “We managed to cycle 200 miles and raise an astounding £752.
“ We want to thank the people of Spalding for their continued support and generosity, and Sainsbury’s, who hosted our event and whose staff couldn’t do enough to make our collection a success.”
