UPDATE: Schoolgirl hurt in Spalding collision – ‘tiger tattoo’ driver contacts police following media appeal

UPDATE: A police search for a woman who knocked down a girl during a hit and run in Spalding is over after she handed herself in.

Following an appeal through the media, the woman went to the police station as soon as she realised officers were looking for her.
The incident happened at 4pm last Monday, May 19, near Rooke’s Pet Store in High Street.

The woman, who was driving a white car, left the scene.
The 13-year-old girl suffered minor cuts and bruises.

Spalding Insp Jim Tyner said: “A local woman contacted the investigating officer and confirmed her involvement.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision or have any information regarding the identity of the driver, should contact PC152 Burden at Spalding Police Station on 101, quoting incident 111 of 19 May.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 22: The hunt is on for a woman with a tiger tattoo, believed to have been driving a car which was in collision with a girl in Spalding on Monday.

It happened at 4pm near Rooke’s Pet Store in High Street. The white car fled the scene.

The 13-year-old girl suffered minor cuts and bruises.

Police said in a statement: “The car is believed to be a right hand drive car, but there is no other description of the make of model.

“The driver is described as a white woman with a tattoo of a tiger on her right arm.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision or have any information regarding the identity of the driver, should contact PC152 Burden at Spalding Police Station on 101, quoting incident 111 of 19 May.
