Developer’s wish for planning application to be refused is granted

A developer which invited South Holland District Council to turn down its application in order to allow it to appeal has not been disappointed.

Councillors refused the Calderdale Homes (Eastern) application to build nine homes in Park Lane, Donington, when they met on February 1.

The decision was deferred at the last planning meeting to allow the developer an opportunity to amend the plans to address councillor concerns relating to over development and poor design, particularly in relation to rear parking courts.
The developer indicated it wanted the application to be decided upon without amendments.
