Top American roots band set to make South Holland debut

A top American roots band will be making their debut appearance at the South Holland Centre this month.
 
 
Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys play their maiden performance on Sunday, January 29, after two headline slots at the prestigious Celtic Connections Festival.
 
With roots in the Great Lakes State of Michigan and now based in Nashville, there is something to please all tastes in this band’s live performances.
 
They have been praised as real passionate affairs that stir the blood and exhilarate – from bluesy works of wonder to blistering bluegrass beauty.
 
‘Intoxicating’ was how Folkwords summed them up while Maverick magazine said they played ‘uplifting rootsy acoustic music of the finest quality’.
 
The line-up is Lindsay Lou on vocals and guitar, Joshua Rilko on banjo and vocals, PJ George on mandolin and vocals and Mark Lavengood on upright bass.
 
The concert starts at 7.30pm and the bar will be open from 6.30pm serving an array of American beers.
