LETTER: Is travellers’ site expense justifiable?

How lovely that there is going to be a beautiful marina in Sutton Bridge to look forward to visit.

However, once the fish canning factory opens in Sutton Bridge, it may not be as pleasant.

Or coming across the “temporary gypsy site” (sorry travellers), also in Sutton Bridge (Voice, December 22).

How on earth can the council justify this expense for these “travellers”? How much have they contributed to it?
And that expense will be neverending as there will be the usual clear-up once the travellers have gone on their way, that’s if they do actually ever move again.

I think us people who live in houses, struggle to pay our taxes, utilities etc have got it all wrong. Just get yourself a caravan and live rent free with absolutely no outgoings, just a stress-free life given to you by law-abiding people.
People of Sutton Bridge should protest and put a stop to the council making their village a dumping ground for all things unpleasant.
