Fresh bid to become Spalding off-licence again

A woman who had her premises licence application rejected last May is trying again.

Ernesta Tamutyte wants permission to sell alcohol again at Global Foods in Winsover Road, Spalding.

South Holland district councillors on the licensing authority rejected her last bid after she admitted signing false entries in the shop’s refusals register.

Police claimed that Miss Tamutyte was involved in the distribution of smuggled goods. They also said she was living with and in a relationship with Marius Legavicius, the owner/manager when the shop was caught selling smuggled alcohol last year.
