Pincheck East Primary School Christmas fair a £5,000 success

Pinchbeck East Primary School had one of its most successful Christmas fairs – raising an amazing £5,000.

Last Friday’s event, organised by The Friends of the School, took up much of the place and was extremely busy.

A big fundraiser was the raffle, with about 30 great prizes including an iPad Mini.
Among the many attractions were tombolas with items donated by the children in conjunction with a non-uniform day.

Santa’s grotto was popular, with 300 youngsters getting to see him, and Year 6 pupils demonstrated their abilities and independence by running some stalls.
The school choir performed and a Christmas tree on the school field was lit up after carol singing.

A barbecue used products from village butcher Hargrave’s.

Friends chairman Sarah Holland said the fundraising aim was to redecorate and restock the library.

She added: “I work with an amazing team of people and we’re incredibly well supported by our executive head Andrew Raistrick and head of school Teeny Vayro.”
