Stall supports Johnson Community Hospital’s Tulip Suite

Spalding Hospice Foundation Committee held a fundraising stall at Johnson Community Hospital to support its Tulip Suite.

Sales of plants, costume jewellery and bric-a-brac raised £152 to help the committee carry on its work supporting patients, their families and staff.
Pauline Seymour, wife of South Holland District Council chairman Michael, donated a large number of hand knitted toys, which proved very popular.

Committee member Liz Sneath said: “We run these fundraising stalls every few months.
“People attending the daily clinics are very generous and supportive of our charity and hospital staff are very helpful to us. We are really grateful for the use of the foyer.”

The Tulip Suite has been open since spring 2010 and offers the people of South Holland a truly local dedicated palliative care unit of four beds in the heart of the community.
