It’s demolition derby as Moulton Harrox hit Holbeach Reserves for nine to go top

Frontmen Marcus Parry and Martin Sandall both bagged four goals as Moulton Harrox smashed Holbeach United Reserves 9-1 on Tuesday night.

Matt “Willy” Watkin was also on target for defending champions Harrox, who climbed back to the top of the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division table as a result of their win.

Harrox are now unbeaten in six games under Nigel Steadman and Paul Crowson, while Sandall now has eight goals in just five games.

Holbeach, meanwhile, have slipped down to 13th place ahead of Saturday’s trip to Thorney (2pm)

  • There was another South Holland derby at Snowden Field as Pinchbeck United clinched their second win of the campaign by beating hosts Crowland Town 5-3 in a cracking contest.

The returning Ollie Maltby bagged two goals for Ian Dunn’s side, while Lee Orrey, Tom Brooks and Tony Edwards also got on the scoresheet.

The win moves Pinchbeck up into fifth place ahead of Saturday’s President Premier Shield clash at Leverington Sports (1.30pm).

Crowland find themselves in 17th place after a sixth loss from seven.
