Teenage Spalding Golf Club star Hugo Kedzlie was part of the England team that won the Nations Cup at Royal Ashdown Forest last week.
Kedzlie, who is 15, helped England defend the trophy as part of one of their two teams at the Sussex from July 12-14.
Harry Goddard (Hanbury Manor) and James Cooper (Cumberwell Park) were Kedzlie’s team-mates in the England ‘I’ team.
They finished three shots ahead of runners-up Denmark.
England ‘II’, represented by Charlie Daughtrey (Rotherham), Charlie Hilton (Ifield) and Charlie Salter (Northamptonshire County), finished tied third with Italy, a further three shots back.
Individually, Kedzlie finished tied for 19th on +9 at the English Boys’ under-16 Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship (McGregor Trophy), although he did shoot a two-under-par 70 on the final day.
Kezlie also shot 76 in each of his first two rounds and scored 75 in the third to finish with a total of 297.
The overall winner was Denmark’s Rasmus Højgaard on -7.
