Mark beats record field in Tydd Open

Tydd St Giles player Mark Gedge came top of a record turnout for the club’s 2016 Spring Open.

Conditions were good for the 123 golfers from around the region taking part in an individual Stableford competition, although many failed to play to their handicap.
Results: Overall winner Mark Gedge 41pts; 2nd Luke Rowell 39pts ocb; 3rd Tim Hipkin 39pts; 4th Kevin Goude 37pts. Division One – 1st Andy Morris 35pts ocb; 2nd James Horscroft 35pts; 3rd Phil Tilney 33pts ocb; 4th Ady Rowell 33pts. Division Two – 1st Mick Tiller 36pts; 2nd Brendon Docking 35pts ocb, 3rd Isaac Chaplain-Barton 35 pts ocb; 4th Mark Bowen 35pts. Longest drive (13th hole) – Kevin Goude.
