Love will be in the air this half-term holiday as the RSPB put on special events at their Frampton Marsh site.
Starting on Saturday, February 13 and running every day through the whole holiday, you can follow the Lovebirds activity trail around the reserve.
Pick up your entry sheet from the visitor centre before setting off around the surfaced trails.
You and your children will discover what it is live like the birds we all love. You will learn to listen like an owl, hop like a blackbird and hunt for food like a blue tit!
The trail is suitable for children aged four to 12 and costs £2, with accompanying adults free.
A prize awaits if you successfully complete all the activities.
If your youngster does love birds, you can help them develop this interest with a Birds for Kids course on Wednesday, February 17.
This child-friendly event will teach your budding Michaela Strachan or Chris Packham how to tell which bird is which. You then put theory into practice with a walk on the reserve.
There are two sessions, at 11am and 2pm, costing £3 per child, with advance booking essential.
Chris Andrews, Visitor Experience Manager for the reserve, said; “In the season of love, it is great to ensure our kids grow up to love nature too.
“These events will help encourage what could become a lifelong interest.”
You can get more information on these or any other reserve activities by calling 01205 724678 or by emailing [email protected].
