LETTER: Pavilion will do nothing for gardens

What is wrong with designers for the council?

The proposed pavilion will do absolutely nothing for the gardens.

It is not in keeping with the surroundings I suppose we shouldn’t be too surprised though, look what they built in place of the old Corn Exchange. That does not blend in with its surroundings either.

My friends and I go to the outdoor concerts in the summer and the green is always full. There is not enough room for people without us all sitting on top of each other.

Also we will have to contend with the children’s playground and all the noise that generates.

Also the birds will not like a lot of the music but I suppose the council will not worry about that.

If they must erect a pavilion at least let it blend in and site it away from the playground.
