Free training session in Holbeach to assist successful grant applications

Charity and community group members have the chance to find out how to successfully apply for grants at a free training session in Holbeach.

Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) is running the session on Wednesday (Nov 25) at Holbeach United Services, 50 Church Street (1.30pm to 3.30pm).

Marie Chapman, LCVS senior community development and volunteering officer, said: “Whilst every application for grants will be for a different project and could be for £100 or £100,000, there are things in common to them all.

“The course will explain what funders are looking for and help applicants to make a strong application.”

The training will be an interactive workshop-style session and by the end participants should be able to understand the story their application needs to tell, look at what works and what doesn’t, be confident in writing a strong grant application.

Awards for All – the Big Lottery’s small grants fund – is open for applications from community groups, charities & parish councils for between £300 and £10,000. This workshop will spend a little time looking at the specific requirements of an Awards for All application.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Booking is essential.

Find links to book a place via the training and events page on www.lincolnshirecvs.org.uk, email[email protected] or phone 01775 718008.
