Need help researching family past?

The Fenland Family History Society is holding a Family History Day on Saturday.

The event runs from 10am until 4.30pm at St Peter’s Church Hall in Wisbech.

There will be the chance to get help from experienced researchers and Family History Society stands offering books, CDs and advice.

There will be two special Sessions in Wisbech Library – Martin Edwards talking about military history including the Roll of Honour and CWGC and the librarians speaking on using computers for family history.

The society’s experienced researcher will be available at Wisbech & Fenland Museum.

Refreshments will be available all day, including ploughman’s lunches.

The admission fee is a donation to the society and there is free car parking.

The society holds its September meeting tonight, which will be the AGM, following which president Wim Zwalf will be giving a talk on Lies, Damned Lies in Family History.

The meeting on Thursday, October 22 will be a talk by Robert Parker.

Both meetings are at St Peter’s Church Hall, Wisbech, starting at 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome (£2 entry fee).
