Skydive raises cash for hospital

A brain tumour sufferer has raised £1,041.52 for the hospital caring for her.

Alice Prior (20), of Spalding, did a tandem skydive back in June and last week presented a cheque to staff at the neurosurgery department at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham.

Alice was diagnosed with the tumour, which is currently dormant, in April last year.

She said: “It is very much uncertain about the future but I feel OK in myself and make the best out of each day!

“The skydive was absolutely amazing – an experience I will never forget.

“To know that not only was I having an amazing time, I was also raising money to help others, was a fantastic feeling!

“I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated to such an amazing cause!”
