Death crash: Lorry driver faces trial over dangerous driving charge

A Donington lorry driver is to stand trial after denying causing the death of a man by dangerous driving.

Luke Anthony Bates (31), of Malting Lane, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday (July 31).
Car driver Brian Herrick (69) was killed in a crash with an articulated lorry on the A453 in Nottinghamshire on October 6 last year.

A four-day trial was arranged to be held on March 29 next year and bail was extended for Bates.
