Hard-working pupils at Spalding’s St John the Baptist Primary School were treated to a pizza party as a reward for their efforts.
The youngsters who achieved the highest award for their efforts throughout the year – a Gold certificate, were treated to a trip to Frankie and Benny’s.
Children are awarded achievement certificates throughout the year. They can be for hard work; reaching goals and targets – whether they be academic, personal or sports related; or other reasons when teachers decide they should be rewarded.
Three of these achievement certificates means that they are awarded their Bronze certificate, six certificates gains the Silver certificate but nine certificates means children are awarded a Gold certificate – the highest award possible in school.
A total of 28 children achieved their Gold Award this year.
The children were able to create their own pizzas which they ate in the restaurant followed by ice cream!
Headteacher Paul Reid said: “The children had a fantastic time and were really well looked after by the staff at Frankie and Benny’s.
“The children had tried exceptionally hard this year and it was lovely to see them enjoying their special treat so much.”
