Give your feet some love with free check

Having just joined Aspire Health and Wellbeing, podiatrist Alexandria Davies is looking forward to helping clients feel like they are “walking on air”.

A podiatrist is much more than someone who keeps your feet and toenails in tip top condition, and like Alexandria, qualified practitioners must complete three years’ full time study.
During their course they learn about musculoskeletal podiatry, the development of children’s feet, sports injuries, biomechanics and gait assessment, orthotics and nail surgery, as well as problems related to diabetes, rheumatism and vascular disease.
At my initial consultation we discussed any medical conditions, medication and any health concerns I had.
My main concern was hard skin on my heels which Alexandria, who works closely with Aspire’s physios, soon disposed of. I soon had soft feet, tidy nails and was given advice on how to maintain my feet.
I explained that I am very clumsy and have regular falls due to weakness in my ankles so following a thorough examination of my standing and walking I was prescribed a pair of orthotics (a pair of custom made footbeds for wearing in my shoes).
Appointments are available throughout the week, including evenings and weekends.
