South Holland District Council makes restructuring appointments

South Holland District Council has made four interim appointments as its management restructure continues.
Three of those appointments are internal.
The only external one is Gerry Dawson, who started last week as interim executive manager growth for South Holland and Breckland councils, which have a shared management partnership.
A spokesman for South Holland said: “Gerry is a qualified planner and housing professional and brings considerable economic development/inward investment and LEP (local enterprise partnership) experience.
“For the duration of his appointment, he will assume responsibility for strategic housing, planning and economic development.”
As previously reported, the two councils’ head of economic development Mark Stanton left through voluntary redundancy earlier in the restructure process.
He is one of four officers who have either opted to accept voluntary redundancy or are considering other internal and external opportunities.
Appointments to 24 of the 38 posts within the revised structure have been made.
The council says the interim appointments are “in order to ensure continuity of services and immediate implementation of the structure whilst the recruitment process continues.”
Fourteen posts are being recruited to. The deadline for applications was July 10, but it could be some time before all posts are filled as notice periods for successful candidates will all differ.
