Solid 2-0 win for Holbeach United as Pinchbeck United earn draw

Holbeach United picked up a pre-season win on Tuesday night as Pinchbeck United were held to a battling draw.

Josh Ford (penalty) and Jack Smith grabbed the goals as Holbeach made it three wins from four friendly outings with a 2-0 success over UCL Division One outfit Bourne Town at Carter’s Park.

It served a perfect preparation for Saturday’s friendly fixture at Spalding United on Saturday (3pm).

Meanwhile, a double from new signing Tony Edwards steered Pinchbeck to a 2-2 draw at Skegness Town.

Ian Dunn’s side are back in action at Swineshead Institute on Thursday night.

Tonight (Wednesday) sees Long Sutton Athletic host Downham Town (7.30pm).
