Table-topping Tekkers back on-song as Forest can’t Cope with Cameron

Cameron Cope was the main man as Tekkers bounced back from their first loss of the season in Division One of The Spalding and South Holland Voice six-a-side League on Monday night.

They are now two points ahead at the top of the table after champions Polishborough suffered a surprising loss in the first game of the night at Surfleet’s Glen Park.

It was The Squad who deservedly took the spoils 2-0 with a goal in each half, breaking superbly well to leave Boro’ bamboozled.

Not used to being on the end of a defeat, the Poles struggled to cope with situation and saw Adam Mus red carded, while Krzysiek Goldyn, Tomasz Rabiega and Dawid Iwaniec were all booked.

Reagan Brown grabbed another well deserved man of the match (MOTM) for The Squad.

Match two was a non-starter as Old Boy Coaches failed to give appropriate notice for their no-show and Pro Ballers claimed a 5-0 default win.

Univeg Team then squared off against Simple FC in a game that saw great performances from both teams.

A phenomenal goal in the first half from Dan Mason was the difference between the two sides as Simple snuck at 1-0 win. Pat Issitt was MOTM.

Over on pitch two, East Europa roared to their first win in five weeks with an impressive 5-1 win over Evolution.

Despite some great goal attempts and some strong attacking from the Evo lads, Europa handed them a real thrashing as Giedrius Butkus claimed MOTM.

Leaders Tekkers went into their match in good spirits, having heard about Polishborough’s defeat. They were taking on old rivals Notinmymums Forest – and put on an absolutely incredible performance to win 4-1 and move two points clear at the top.

Cope was MOTM as the leaders warmed up for next week’s clash with Polishborough in fine style.

The last game of the night in Division One saw You’ve Got No Fans dispatch Mirror Signal Malouda 2-0.

Displaying great skill and hard work, they bagged themselves two superb goals to move up to second. Guy Mantle was MOTM.

Division Two got under way with leaders Puyol Pants Down making it seven wins from seven as they turned over Nibblesborough FC 1-0 in a tight tussle.

Winger Tyler Wright was MOTM in a game that saw Puyol move three points clear.

Mail Carters then saw off FC Barnicols 4-3 in the most thrilling match of the night.

Frontman Chris Coulson grabbed MOTM in a game that was a great advert for the league.

Game three in the second tier was a narrow 2-1 win for BK’s Athletic over Balotellitubbies.

The defeat was harsh on the Tubbies, who saw striker Michael Cope hit the woodwork at least half a dozen times. Callum Davies picked up the MOTM prize.

Meanwhile, Posh Old Boys had forward Shane Miller to thank as his double helped them to a 2-0 victory against a stubborn Tekkerslovakia.

As usual, Tekkerslovakia exhibited some stout defending and solid defensive midfield play, but didn’t offer much in the way of attack though and this allowed Posh to capitalise.

The penultimate game in the division saw second-placed Sarah’s Boys pile on the misery for rock-bottom Dynamo Kiev with a 4-1 win.

Ash Graham helped himself to MOTM as he took great pleasure in expressing himself.

The night came to a close with The TBME grabbing third place by beating Bowlcut Wanderers FC 2-0.

The highlight of this clash saw Huw Sharman produce an absolute stunner to open the scoring.
