High flying stage stars sought for Spalding’s Peter Pan panto

The search is on for young people to appear on stage in Spalding’s next professional pantomime – and some of them will get the chance to fly!

Polka Dot Pantomimes will present Peter Pan at the South Holland Centre this Christmas and is looking for youngsters aged from nine to 18.
They want boys and girls who can sing and dance for the chorus as well as actors to play the mischief making Lost Boys – parts which can be played by either boys or girls.
There is also the opportunity to land the principal roles of Michael and John – both of which will get the chance to fly on stage.
Open auditions will take place at the South Holland Centre on Saturday, and those chosen will be appearing alongside a professional West End cast.
Performances run from December 10 to 31, including a number of dedicated school shows. The three children’s casts will alternate between performances.
Darren Maddison from Polka Dot Pantomimes said that Peter Pan promises to be the most spectacular pantomime ever staged at the South Holland Centre.
He said: “There will be dazzling costumes, fabulous scenery and some truly magical surprises as well as the chance to appear in front of thousands of people over the run of the shows.
“It will be an amazing experience for the young people from South Holland who make it through the auditions.”
Auditions are due to take place between 10am and 11.30am for those wishing to be considered as dancers and 11.30am and 1pm for lost boys, Michaels and Johns.
Those taking part must be no younger than nine by September 1, and need to fill in a form that must be brought along on the day.
Audition forms are available from the box office or can be downloaded from the theatre’s website – www.southhollandcentre.co.uk
