Victim of fatal accident on A16 at Crowland named; injured husband ‘recovering’

The name of the pensioner killed in a road accident on the A16 at Crowland last week has been released.

She was Sheila Slater (81), of Holbeach Drove.

Mrs Slater was a passenger in a car driven by husband Roy (83), who was taken to hospital after the incident at about 3pm on Wednesday, May 20.

He was flown to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries, and was later transferred to Peterborough City Hospital.

Mr Slater was today (Thursday) described as “recovering”.
