LETTERS – What if you miss your slot?

I have been following the reporting on the opening of and booking of access to the county recycling centres and do think that opening the sites seven days a week instead of closing it for two days will be the only solution to reduce any fly-tipping.
My main concern over a booking system is for residents living as I do some 20 to 30 minutes drive away from my nearest site (West Marsh Road, Spalding) that missing my booked slot due to traffic hold up or circumstance beyond my control would require rebooking.
This I am sure would in some cases lead to fly-tipping in greater quantities than the area suffers at present.
I would therefore implore the council to rethink its strategy and leave things as they are or increase the opening hours and days that the recycling centres are open.
