Thank you to Pinchbeck’s volunteers

A trust put on a special lunch recently to say thank you to volunteers in a South Holland village.

Sixty people from 26 Pinchbeck organisations accepted the Pinchbeck Community Land Trust’s invitation to the event on Saturday, September 19.
“Pinchbeck is a truly wonderful village to live in,” said the trust’s director and parish councillor John Smith. “The people who came along to the event volunteer their time and energy throughout the year to support our community.
“It was wonderful to be able to say a big thank you to them.
“We are very grateful to Burmor Construction for their support for this event and the many other initiatives we have worked on together in Pinchbeck over the past 18 months.”
Meanwhile the trust has launched a new village lottery.
It costs £1 to play a week with a potential jackpot of £25,000 and 20 per cent of profits going to Pinchbeck Hub, 30 per cent to the fundraising to restore St Mary’s Church Roof and 50 per cent to other local groups.
