Police have put on extra patrols again after a church was vandalised for a second time.
Iron guttering was found to have been ripped off the side of St John the Evangelist Church in Weston Hills shortly after 11am on Sunday, September 6.
A spokesman for Weston Parish Council, said: “We are saddened to report that further vandalism has occurred at Weston Hills Church, notably that cast iron downpipes have been pulled off the church building.
“We ask all residents to please keep an even greater watch on the church and its grounds, as well as the [laying field.
“Lincolnshire Police have been alerted and are stepping up their patrols.
“Please report anyone acting suspiciously to Lincs Police, the church warden or the parish council. We welcome your community vigilance.”
In July several bits of damage was carried out to the church which led to increased police patrols.
That led to extra police patrols and The Voice understands some materials taken from the church then were even brought back.
