With just two weeks left to go in the Spalding and District Snooker League season, Pyramid F extended their lead at the top of Division One with a whitewash of Boundary A.
The 6-0 win over third-placed Boundary leaves Pyramid eight points clear of clubmates Pyramid C.
Pete Hodgson-Kerry (o21) knocked in a 46 break in his win over Elliott Cox (r7), while Mark Gray (o98) got a 44 break in his frame against Andy Mowforth (o14).
The other winners were Ian Gibson (r7), Carl Gibson (o28) and Ian Clare (scr).
Pyramid C lost ground in their bid for the title, going down 5-1 away to Gosberton A.
Gosberton took the first three frames courtesy of Carl Wand (o7), Adam Twigg (o7) and Paul Wright (o7), before Spencer Dawkins (o63) pulled one back for Pyramid, but it was too late as Alan Jackson (scr) took the final frame.
Consti H remain in fourth despite losing 6-0 to Services A.
Services winners were Craig Fitter (o63), who got a 42 break, Phil Spencer (o14), Chris Dunmore (o42), Jake Haslam (o14) and Vince Fitter (o42) and they move up a place to sixth.
Pyramid D lost 4-2 away to Consti E.
Consti won the first three thanks to James Kingston (o35), Sean Jeynes (o14) and Gavin Halgarth (scr), before Josh Agger (o28) and Pete Sharpe-Grose (r7) took the final two for Pyramid.
Donington C had a convincing 5-1 win at home to Holbeach C.
Mick Pearl (o14) got Donington off to a good start, beating Nick Edwards (r14) and knocking in a 41 break along the way, before Paul Ashton (r14) hit back for Holbeach. It was in vain though as Donington took the next three thanks to Neil Favell (o21), Ben Wrigglesworth (o28) and Mat Turner (o28).
Services D got the better of clubmates Services C, beating them 4-2.
Kevin Robbs (r14), Paul Spicer (o21) and Ian Smith (r7) got the points for the D team, while Geoff Hemsil (r21) and Nigel Cherry (o14) were the C team’s winners.
In Division Two, Holbeach B remain seven points clear after a 4-2 loss away to Consti F.
Consti’s winners were Darren Stanley (r28), Bryan Turnell (r7) and Robert Adams (o14).
Holbeach E are chasing them in second place, after a 5-1 win away at Pyramid E.
Winners were Richard Parkes (o14), Ethan Lawrence (r7), Chris O’Leary (o21) and James Crampton (o21).
Pyramid A didn’t have a game and so dropped to third place.
Gosberton D remain in fifth. They beat Whittlesey C 5-1.
Lyn Simmons (r14) won the first frame for Gosberton, beating Neil Burton (scr) on the black, before husband Neil Simmons (o21) lost to Whittlesey’s Paul Cook (o21).
Gosberton took the final three frames courtesy of Dan Hanger (scr), James Parrott (scr) and Keith Lungley (o28).
Holbeach F were subjected to a 6-0 whitewash at the hands of Services B.
Services’ winners were Jason Rose (o28), Jeff Collins (scr), Alan Hansard (scr), Paul Doades (scr) and Andy Neal (scr).
Holbeach A moved up a place to sixth after smashing Donington A 6-0.
Wins came from Mark Bunting (o14), Andy Taylor (scr), Pete Ransom (o28), Mark Woodberry (o56) and Stuart Atkin (o49).
Whittlesey A’s match against Pyramid B was postponed but a rearranged game earlier in the week saw them get the better of Holbeach E, winning 6-0.
The winners for Whittlesey were Jason Clarke (scr), Gary Thewliss (r7), Andy Blythe (o14), Graeme Sawyer (o21) and Malc Bruce (scr) and the win moves them up to 11th.
Division Three leaders Holbeach G have widened the gap at the top to five points with a 4-2 win away to Consti I.
Stu Sullivan (o28) got Holbeach off to a good start, beating John Bellerby (r14, before Pete Stokes (r21) and Phil Tweddell (scr) answered back for Consti.
Ben Harding (o42) made it all-square, before Ian Woodberry (scr) won the decider for Holbeach.
Second-placed Boundary B slipped up, losing 4-2 to Whittlesey B, while Consti A remain in third after a 4-2 win over Donington D.
Gosberton B beat Consti C 4-2 thanks to wins from Merv Pattinson (r21), Simon Slinger (scr) and Mark Howlett (o7).
John Walker (r28) and Mark Craig (r14) got the points for Consti.
In an all-Consti affair, it was the J team who came out on top, beating the B team 4-2.
Warren Peel (scr) won the first frame to give the J team the advantage, before Mick Johnson (o28) levelled the scores.
Nev Vickers (r7) put the J team ahead again and then Trev Braybrook (r21) won the fourth, and the match.
John Pike (r14) got the last point for the B team.
Consti D walked away 5-1 winners after their trip to Gosberton C. Wins came from Joe Garland (o7), Ady Sibley (o35), Steve Moore (r21) and Tom Digby (r7).
