Cart close the gap with win

With the Pinchbeck & District Winter Darts League Division A leaders Lincoln Arms A not in action, second-placed Royal Mail Cart closed the gap to just two points at the top after a 7-2 away win at Consti Club B.

Chris Fidler impressed with 16 and 17-dart legs in his singles win over Pat Looney.

Ash Allen was in fine form, hitting a 180, a 117 checkout, and an 18-dart leg, while Ben Connell produced the finish of the night with a superb 151 checkout.

Green Dragon A delivered an emphatic 8-1 home win over Drayman’s Arms.

Sean Trafford fired in a 120 checkout, while Phil Newton was the sole winner for the Drayman’s, beating Simon Horton 2-1 and hitting a 180.

Pinchbeck FC B edged past Black Bull 5-4 in a tight home contest.

Mark Dixon sealed the win with a 2-1 victory over Karl Louth, including an 18-dart leg, while Louth replied with a 111 checkout.

Shaun Baxter, Pete Grooby and Mark Graham won the final three singles for the Bull to keep the scoreline close.
Connor Clift hit a 180 for the football club.

Consti Club C came from behind to beat Services Club B 7-2 at home.

Trailing 2-1 after the pairs, they swept all six singles.

Paul Faulkner hit a 180 and an 18-dart leg in his 2-1 win over Ady Smith, while Josh Faulkner also hit a 180 in his win over Jonny Pell.

Steve Rawding had a 100 checkout for the visitors.

In Division B, league leaders Kirton Leisure returned to winning ways with a comfortable 7-2 home win over Pinchbeck FC C.

Emma Tickner and Josh Burton in the pairs, and Dan Patey in the singles, were the only winners for the football club.

Second-placed Consti Club Z edged Lincoln Arms C 5-4 at home.

Connor Newton hit a 115 checkout and an 18-dart leg, with Mick Atkin and Brandon Bristow putting the hosts 5-2 up before Zack and Tony Brown won the final two games for the visitors.

In the Green Dragon derby, the Z team came out 6-3 victors over the C team.

In the match of the night, Harry Tucker hit a 108 checkout to beat Ben Anthony 2-1.

Anthony had earlier produced a two-dart 107 finish (57, bull) to win his leg.

Services Club A suffered a 7-2 home defeat to Consti Club D.

Trailing 3-0 after the pairs, wins for Mark Jones and Callum O’Driscoll gave Services hope, but Braydon Deans, Riley Collins, Dean Drage and Nick Collins won the final four singles to seal the win.

The biggest winners of the week were the Pied Calf, who thrashed Consti Club A 8-1.

Martin Garth won the final singles for the Consti to avoid the whitewash, while Jamie Mumby hit a 180 for the visitors.
