Laying it on the line for health

A group of over 55s started the year by putting their best foot forward.

The free community line dancing session was part of the Get Moving campaign run in partnership with Yakult and the First Time for Everything initiative.

It took place last week at Project St Thomas in Spalding.

Local dance instructor Anne Bedford led the evening, teaching some basic steps and a fun routine.

A spokesman for the organisers said: “A great time was had by all, from complete beginners to more experienced dancers.”

Andrea Briggs, Royal Voluntary Service activity co-ordinator for Lincolnshire, said: “We all enjoyed a fantastic evening of dancing, chat and laughter.

“It’s always great to try something new and we’re grateful to our long-term partner, Yakult, for supporting such a fun social event and important initiative.”
