Free parking for Christmas shoppers

The manager of Spalding Business Improvement District (BID) has reminded shoppers that free parking is on offer in Vine Street on Wednesday and Saturdays.

It’s agreed with South Holland District Council to subsidise up to four hours free in the run up to Christmas.

Sarah Fletcher, manager of Spalding BID said: “Spalding BID is pleased to offer four hours free car parking to help keep Christmas spending costs down.

“We hope this will mean that any savings will be spent in some of our great retail shops, leaving plenty of time to have a rest at one of super cafes or restaurants in Spalding.

“Having free car parking in Vine Street provides quick and easy access to the many businesses in the area; with additional free parking available in Holland Market giving access to those in that area.

“Let’s hope Christmas shopping this year will be easier.”

Mrs Fletcher has also written to explain the difference between Spalding Town Board and Spalding BID.
