Top GCSE results at Spalding Grammar School

Nearly a third of GCSE’s gained by Spalding Grammar School were in the top bracket.

The seven to nine grading (the equivalent of an A) was achieved in 31 per cent of the nearly 1,400 qualifications gained.

The students who gain an average grade of at least seven across all subjects were: Mohammad Asim, Alexander Biggadike, Thomas Biggadike, Nathaniel Clifford, Jack Colmer, Jake Duffill, Ali Ghazi, Tharuk Kandepola, Waleed Malik, Archie Robinson, Myles Sagoo and Zihaan Thobani.

The school also recognised that 96 per cent and 99 per cent of students in English and Maths respectively gained a grade four or above.

Executive head Michele Anderson said: “The school is so proud of our Year 11 students who have worked tremendously hard on their GCSE studies over the last two years.

“Their results are a testament to their hard work and commitment alongside the support of their parents and carers and the dedication of our experienced staff. With this impressive display of resilience and determination, students have achieved remarkable success across a wide range of subjects.

“As students move forward to the next stage of their journey, and for the majority that will mean returning to Spalding Grammar School in September to take up A-Level studies, we remain committed to supporting their ambitions and celebrating their success.

“The lessons learned this year, both inside and outside the classroom, together with the practical experience gained through the examination season, will serve our students well for years to come.

“The Grammar School is delighted that the students have done so well in their GCSE subjects; they should be as proud of themselves as we are of them and we wish them all the best in the exciting futures that lie ahead.”
