Maton takes captain’s prize

Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s ladies’ captain’s day was a great success.

Ladies’ captain Maria Taylor-Vassall organised her captain’s day individual stableford competition, followed by a wonderful afternoon tea.

In first place was Jackie Maton with 43 points, second was Juliet Punshon with 38 points and third Julie Perry with 37 points.

Nearest the pins were Georgina Millett and Juliet Punson and longest drive was Chris Montague.
Taylor-Vassall thanked her husband Michael and friend Jason Farmer for their help with the halfway house, while also thanking the staff at Tydd for their assistance with the catering.

Other Tydd Golf Club results: Senior’s stableford competition – Division 1: 1st (ocb) Mark Amor 35 points, 2nd (ocb) Michael Flint 35 points, 3rd Paul Gurney 35 points. Division 2: 1st (ocb) Barry Jones 38 points, 2nd Tony Stephens 38 points, 3rd Kev Johnson 36 points. Division 3: 1st Salvatore Dibella 39 points, 2nd Barrie Mutimer 36 points, 3rd (ocb) Paul Marshall 34 points.

Men’s July Pairs – Sid Johnson and Ian Cooper 45 points, 2nd Paul Hunt and Barry Hill 43 points, 3rd Andy Ward and Mark Smith 42 points, 4th Simon Smith and Dean Wright 40 points.
