Caress goes continental

Simon Eldridge was the only Halmer Harrier to finish in the top ten of the latest Snowden Field Parkrun in Crowland.

The Spalding runner came home ninth of 67 finishers in a time of 25 minutes 10 seconds. Clubmate Debs Norman was 41st, 31:52.

Six Halmer Harriers went across to Peterborough to take part in the Ferry Meadows Parkrun. First home for the locals was Isaac Gibbons, who came 138th of the 592 entrants in 24:56. He was followed by Lisa Gill, 30th 29:30,

Jenny Braybrook, 449th 34:29, Jayne Pell, 530th 38:53, Kathryn Chapman 574th 51:46, and Katherine Baxter, 575th 51:47.

Elsewhere, Emily Brown was 213th of 452 in the Belton House Parkrun in Grantham and in Oxford, Daisy Jowers clocked 37:56 for 449th of 484 runners at the University Parks event.

Adam Caress went overseas for his weekly 5K fix, finishing 18th of 38 runners in the Rheinpark Parkrun in Cologne, Germany in 25:44.

There is no Snowden Field Parkrun this Saturday due to the venue being booked for another event.
