LETTERS – Not for everyone, they don’t!

One reason given for changing from bags to wheelie bins for rubbish and recycling, is that “..bins have numerous advantages…..including ease of handling…” Not for everyone, they don’t!

Like Alan Long (letter, June 25), and being in my mid-90s, I am allowed to put my bags outside my front door for collection.

If I am to have bins, they will be either in front of the house, looking very ugly, or at the back, making them far to fetch.

If I have to move the bins about, I shall have difficulty.

Perhaps whoever is responsible will take the trouble to make clear what arrangements will be made for those like Alan Long and myself, of whom I assume there must be quite a few.

Having often seen the ugliness of bin-equipped towns, I have always felt that Spalding and district has been lucky in having the fairly inconspicuous bags.
