Man hospitalised with serious injuries after assault in Gosberton

A man was left with serious injuries after being assaulted outside a Gosberton home this morning (Tuesday, June 10).

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for more information on the incident reported at 1.48am on High Street.

A property has been cornered off by police for the entire day.

A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Spalding this morning.

“A man in his 40s was seriously assaulted outside a property on the High Street in Gosberton. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-altering.

“A scene guard is currently in place, and there will be a police presence in the area while enquiries are ongoing.

“If you witnessed any activity during the early hours of this morning, or if you have seen any suspicious vehicles in the area, please get in touch.

“Alternatively, if you have any other information that you have yet to share with us, please contact force.control@lincs.police.uk and quote incident 23 of today’s date.”
