Near and far for Harriers

Members of Spalding-based Halmer Harriers enjoyed a far-flung weekend, with runners taking on events ranging in distance from 5K to a marathon.

Among those taking on the Riga Marathon in Latvia was Maija Garkalne, who completed the 26-plus miles in 3hrs 30mins 13secs.

Nearer to home, The Deepings 10K saw three Harriers among the race results with Hayley Wynn finishing 250th in 59:27, Bridgitte Seymour 262nd, 1:01:04, and Deborah Preston 292nd, 1:04:43.

Other Harriers took on the ultimate grand tour of Snowdonia in Wales at the UTS 100-mile race, while four more were in Parkrun action at a variety of venues, doing their weekly 5K.
