A Spalding man faces a jail sentence after he admitted intentionally strangling a woman over the Christmas period.
Harry Dye, 36, was remanded into custody by a judge after he pleaded guilty to two charges at Lincoln Crown Court.
Dye, who is of no fixed address but is from the Spalding area, admitted intentionally strangling a woman on December 27 last year.
He also pleaded guilty to a charge of assault by beating against a second female victim on the same date.
Phil Howes, prosecuting, said the guilty pleas entered by Dye were acceptable to the Crown Prosecution Service.
“What Mr Dye has pleaded to gives the court adequate sentencing powers,” Mr Howes explained.
Leanne Summers, defending Dye, asked for sentence to be adjourned for the preparation of a Probation report on her client.
Judge James House KC agreed to the request but warned Dye he was making no promises with regard to sentence.
“I will adjourn sentence for a pre-sentence report,” Judge House told Dye.
“But I am making no promises, it will be a decision for the judge who deals with you what the sentence will be.”
Dye was remanded into custody until June 6 when he will be sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court.
