Lincoln Arms secure title with games in hand

Lincoln Arms A secured the Crowson Volkswagen Pinchbeck & District Winter League Division A title with two games to go, thanks to a 5-4 home win against Consti Club B.
Game of the night was between Steve Stancer and Scott Lawrence, with both players having 16 and 18-dart legs. Lawrence came out on top, winning 2-1 and he also had a 112 finish. Stu Ewins hit a 180 on his birthday for the Consti in his 2-1 singles win.
The race for second place is still in the balance with Services Club B winning 6-3 at Lincoln Arms D. Stacey Banister was player of the night for Lincoln with a 180 and a 16-dart leg in her 2-1 singles victory over Colin Beckett.
Third placed Consti Club C are only five points behind after a 7-2 home win against Green Dragon A. Jordan Philpott threw a 180 in his 2-0 win over Tom Overton.
Royal Mail Cart secured a 6-3 home win against Drayman’s Arms B. Stef Atudosiei and Josh Grainger both hit 180s in their game, with Atudosiei coming out on top 2-1. Atudosiei also hit a 180 in his pairs win with partner Dalton Sharman.
Consti Club Z are edging closer to the Division B title after an 8-1 win at bottom side Green Dragon C. Brandon Elderkin scored a 180 for Consti. Trent Hutson was the sole winner for the Dragon, beating Paul Merrill 2-0 in the last game.
The battle for second spot between Green Dragon Z and Kirton Leisure continues with Dragon being handed a 6-0 walkover against Consti Club D. The Leisure side remain eight points behind with a game in hand after taking a 6-3 win at the Services Club A.
In a close match, Lincoln Arms C came out victorious at Drayman’s Arms A. Duane Harrison and Jay Fountain secured the win, with Nigel Goodwin recording a 102 checkout for Lincoln.
In another tight match, Kev Bailey grabbed victory for Consti Club A with a last-game 2-0 victory over Fraser Robson of Pinchbeck FC B to give Consti a 5-4 success. Mark Culy hit a 101 finish for Consti.
